True Sportsmanship � It was more than just a game when the teams of St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel, and St. Rose High School, Belmar, took to the ice Jan. 14 in the Sun Center, Trenton. St. John Vianney High also used the event to pay tribute to Dan Falco, a former team member and student. Falco died in 2009 of Reye�s Syndrome.

Students of All Saints Regional School in Manahawkin dedicated themselves to a day of worship and service in commemoration of the Solemnity of All Saints Day. Beginning with a Mass celebrated by Father Douglas Freer, diocesan vicar for education, and Msgr. Kenard Tuzeneu, pastor of St. Mary Parish, Barnegat, the day was a culmination of a school-wide effort to make and deliver cards and gifts for residents of local nursing homes.

The diocesan observance of the month of Missions started off Oct. 13 when high school students gathered for the annual High School Mission Reach-Out in Holy Cross High School, Delran. During the day, the students heard compelling mission presentations by a priest from Nigeria and two young adults with experience in serving in Haiti.
